What is an emission inventory?
The emission inventory is the list of all direct and indirect emissions of an entity, gathering since large activities, such as industrial processes, until the displacement of employees, being the main tool to quantify the greenhouse gases emitted by the company.
How does Embrasca work with this?
Embrasca, when contracted to perform an inventory, takes responsibility for all the stages of the service, starting from mobilization and planning up to reports and final presentations, offering all the apparatus and support to the company in order to offer a complete vision of the client’s emissions.
Through the emission inventory, it is possible to identify processes and activities that are polluting the environment, generating direct and indirect financial loss to the company. Furthermore, an inventory opens up the possibility of taking energy efficiency measures, waste management, among other cost reduction possibilities.
By showing the overall emissions of an entity, the emissions inventory allows a complete diagnosis of its operations, which allows problems to be found from its analysis, since a process that emits more CO2 than it should has to be modified, because it can be very costly in the future.
With the notion of how much a company emits, it is much easier to make decisions that have less environmental impact.
The emissions inventory opens the possibility for investment in actions that may incur in the reduction of emissions, which can generate carbon credits and, consequently, financial return.
